The Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 Essay Writing Competition exclusively for its student members. This initiative is part of ECAMA’s ongoing commitment to nurture the next generation of economists and provide young people with platforms to actively contribute to Malawi’s economic policy dialogue.

“Breaking the Cycle: Redesigning Malawi’s Economic Future”
The theme invites students to reflect on the structural challenges facing Malawi’s economy and propose innovative ideas and strategies that can help break persistent cycles of underdevelopment while shaping a more sustainable economic future.
