The Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) Board of Trustees, Executive Members, Secretariat and entire membership, would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of late Professor Ephraim Wadonda Chirwa on his untimely passing.

ECAMA will miss the late Professor Chirwa for the unwavering support and dedication that he rendered to the Association. Professor Chirwa was one of the founding members of the association and served in the Executive Committee in various capacities and continued to assist the association until his passing. ECAMA is grateful and proud of his meaningful contributions to the Association and the country at large, and he will be truly missed.

ECAMA will always remember Professor Ephraim Wadonda Chirwa as a seasoned economist in Malawi both in the academia and policy circles, who was very passionate about the country and spent most of his time undertaking research and providing advice to authorities on how best to achieve sustainable development. His immense research work has been instrumental in informing policy formulation processes in the country.
